Veronica Mars Replica Bag (Complete!)
First replied, first served. Once you've confirmed that you have the means to proceed with the order to purchase this bag (or have already sent me the money), your name will appear on this list. As I sew them, I will ship in this order; pending your payment.
This is only for those whom are positive they have the money to pay me the moment their bag is complete.
Reserve List:

Several of you have emailed me asking about the Season 1 replica bag project I posted awhile back, and if there were any news on it's progress. I'm SO happy that so many of you were as excited as I was to complete this project... Well, as I promised, I finished it! And, in all honesty, I don't think it could be any closer to the real thing (save for the actual label).
Soooo, here's what everyone's been waiting so anxiously for! In all it's glory and up for sale now!

*My Nikon does not come with the bag ;)
(My camera's flash can drain out color, so remember that it is Khaki, identicle to the original, and the first picture above is the closest to how it looks in person)
The dimensions of the bag lying flat are: 19 1/2" wide and 13" tall. It is 4" deep at the base, 3" deep at the top (with zipper closed), the side pieces taper from 4" wide at the bottom to 3" at the top.

This bag has 5 pockets besides the main, zippered, body of the bag, and is unlined.

Two large front pockets with darts at the base to give it depth, and flap/snapped closure with finger loop (Dimensions: 9" wide at the opening, 8 1/4" tall each)

Two flat side pockets off the strap with snap closure (Dimensions: 4" wide at the opening, 6" tall each)

And one large back pocket with snap closure (Dimensions: 17" wide at the opening, 10" tall).

It has an adjustable strap with sliding hardware (Strap Dimensions: adjustable from 26 1/2" - 43" max). (More details below)
I used a fabric called Trigger, which is 65% Cotton, 35% Polyester. Unlike the Duck cloth I use on my messanger bag, it is much more flexible and therefore softer. It's just as durable, but gives it more of a 'shoulder bag' feel rather than a stiff messanger bag.
There is no lining. The seams on the interior are covered by biased tape.

Antique brass heavyduty snaps, zipper, and eyelits. Just like the original bag.

Padded bottom with rib stitching (just like the original bag) to keep it in place. I'm not sure if the original has padding, but this really helps protect the contents when you set it down, and also helps a great deal with strength and keeping the shape of the bag.
An extra layer of fabric attached with iron-on hem adhesive tape is behind both sets of eyelits, and all snaps; to provide extra strength for wear, tension, and washing.

2 Inch Lightweight Polypropylene khaki strap (similar to a web belts) with sturdy sliding hardware (in contrasting brown) for an adjustable strap. Just like the original bag.
Several aspects raised the price from what I originally had in mind...
It turned out to be a lot more trouble than I could have expected. I've been to more than 12 places [fabric, craft, notion, hardware stores etc.] looking for everything I need for this bag, only to find absolutely nothing. I've ordered ALL my hardware from several different online sources; meaning I've had to pay seperate shipping on top of the cost for each item and recieve them at all different times.
The most important being the level of detail. I cut NO corners. I examined each picture I had to go by and duplicated it to the best of my ability. Just consider all the top stitching >_> I could have just sewn it quickly, but I took the time to mimic every aspect of the pattern that I could. Keep in mind that the original bag is made on an assembly line with an industrial power machine (very different from a home machine) and probably in the course of 5 minutes. I'm one person with a very old Singer sewing machine (we're talking 25+ years) whom has to do every detail by hand. My mother is a semstress, whom has been sewing for 35+ years, so, just like my other bags, you can expect professional work.
Almost all of you mentioned that your order would depend on the price. Being poor myself, I understand, and I always aim for an affordable price for everyone. However, to make this a worthy replica, I had to put a lot more work into it than I expected, and it's only fair that I'm paid for my time and all my hard work. I'm sorry if it's a bit higher than what you were expecting, but all the costs just won't let me charge any less. And there won't ever be a half-ass version that I will sell cheaper. This is it.
Please keep in mind that I am only ONE person! Everyone whom has ordered from me in the past have been very patient (which I really appreciate!), but I expect quite a few orders for this bag, and I want it to be understood upfront. I have a full-time job, and am currently going through piles of paperwork as I apply for school, so I'm not home constantly to sew. This is something I do in the little bit of free time I have to save up money for school. Yes, having a life sucks, and if I had time to sew more, I would!
So, if you'd like to order, understand that I will fill them in the order in which they are recieved, and as fast as I possibly can. Remember that I order all my supplies online and therefore wait for them to be shipped to me before I can start on the next batch (I usually buy everything in sets of 8, so after I run out, I will buy more for another 8).
PLEASE ONLY ORDER IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT BUYING! I can't stress this enough. I'm leanient with my other fandom bags because they take a lot less time to sew, but this bag takes a great deal of time and effort to create, so please, do me the favor of only placing an order if you have the money and are serious about buying. If you don't have the money right now, but are definitely interested, then WAIT to comment. These bags arn't going anywhere, I will continue to make them as long as there is a demand. I understand a lot of you have been waiting to find this bag (same as I) but if you don't have the money right now, let someone who does go first. It's a first come first serve basis, and orders will be filled as I sew them, which means sparatic waiting periods as I order more supplies and sew. This means there will be plenty of time for you to come back and get your order in.
I just want to thank everyone for their support, and to those who sent me reference pictures of the original bag. I hope that you're pleased with the result. I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out, and I'd love to hear your reactions!
IF YOU WANT TO ORDER, COMMENT ON THE MAIN BAG POST. THANK YOU.
